Back to the shop

The three models sold separately in this shop each cover one need. The pack brings them together and adds three more workbooks, all linked: a customer payment term entered once flows through to cash, to the working capital requirement and to the profitability indicators.

It is the tool of someone who builds files regularly, not of a one-off founder.

What separates the pack from its pieces is not the number of files, it is the direction of travel between them. Capital expenditure entered once carries its depreciation into forecast operations; the funding plan sets the repayment burden those operations must bear; the cash plan turns all of it into dated receipts; and NPV, IRR and payback are computed on those flows. The sixth workbook, the dashboard, has no equivalent sold on its own: it lifts onto one page what the other five produce. The eight-page usage note serves above all to give the order of entry, the only real difficulty of a linked set.

Buying a single piece remains defensible, and we say so plainly. For a one-off file, the bank business plan template is enough; for steering the cash of a company already trading, the cash plan template is enough too. The pack only pays for itself through repetition, and it carries an entry cost the standalone templates do not: six linked workbooks require entry in the right order, and an assumption changed in the wrong place propagates everywhere. Nothing is locked, which is a deliberate choice: you can adapt, provided you answer for what you change.
