A file that comes back rarely costs less than six weeks: the time to be reviewed, the time to be corrected, the time to go before committee again. A review before filing costs a few days.
We read the file with the analyst's grid: do the figures reconcile across tables, do the ratios hold, are the assumptions justified or merely asserted, are the guarantees offered acceptable.
The report is ordered by severity, because not everything matters equally and you need to know where to spend your time.
A review presupposes a file. We ask for the version you intend to file, complete, with the tables in their original format rather than as images: a ratio cannot be recalculated from a screenshot. If documents are still missing, say so at the outset — the report will then separate what is absent from what is wrong, because those are neither the same corrections nor the same timescales. We read on our own first, over the five working days, and the report reaches you before the session: the ninety minutes are for discussing corrections, not for discovering the findings.
We read what you wrote; we do not rewrite it. The pen stays in your hand, and that is the purpose of the second reading included: you correct, you send it back within thirty days, and we check that the points raised have genuinely been cleared. The service is therefore not for you if you expect the file to be produced on your behalf, nor if you have already filed it — once the file is in the analyst's hands, there is no review before filing left to do. The report is written for you, not for your banker: it sets out weaknesses, and nothing in it is meant to be passed on.
